The Scholarship Committee at the McKenzie Law Firm, P.C. chooses one student every year as the winner of the Second Chance Scholarship. All applicants must meet the criteria explained on the Second Chance Scholarship application page.
Scholarship Winner Selection Process
The Scholarship Committee will evaluate every application that is submitted in the proper format, using the scholarship form on the application page, and before the deadline indicated on the application page. The Scholarship Committee will not consider applications that do not meet these submission criteria.
The Scholarship Committee will evaluate applicants based on the eligibility criteria and applicant essays. The Scholarship Committee does not consider age, race, religion, gender, national origin, familial status, and membership in other protected classes when choosing a winner.
The Scholarship Committee or the McKenzie Law Firm, P.C. will notify the winner of the Second Chance Scholarship via telephone or email. The decision of the Scholarship Committee is final.
The McKenzie Law Firm, P.C. may use the scholarship winner’s name and image when announcing the winner. The McKenzie Law Firm, P.C. may share the scholarship winner’s name, photograph, and/or essay on the McKenzie Law Firm, P.C. website, social media accounts, or other communications announcing the scholarship winner.
Privacy
The Scholarship Committee and the McKenzie Law Firm, P.C. will take all reasonable measures to protect applicants’ personal information. The Scholarship Committee and the McKenzie Law Firm, P.C. do not sell, distribute, or otherwise share applicants’ personal information with third parties. Any materials, including applicant essays, become the property of the McKenzie Law Firm, P.C. when submitted with an application.
By submitting their application, applicants agree to allow the McKenzie Law Firm, P.C. to use their name, image, and essay in the manner described on this page.
